ArtVentures has officially launched and it is AMAZING!

Wiregrass Museum of Art

We are so excited to welcome families and curious minds of all ages into our brand new interactive space, ArtVentures!

From the light table to sensory play, books, coloring activities, and so much more this space was made for exploration, imagination, and joy.

Planning your visit?

Stop by during our normal public hours: Wednesdays – Fridays between 10 am – 5 pm, or Saturdays between 10 am – 3 pm.

It is also open during our monthly Toddler Hour, happening the third Thursday of every month between 9 am – 10 am.

Before you stop in, please take a moment to read the expectations for your time in ArtVentures so everyone can have the best experience possible.

No large tour groups are permitted. Change little ones in the bathroom. No changing area is available in ArtVentures. ArtVentures is for all ages, however, small objects in this room may be a choking hazard for younger visitors. Please watch younger children carefully. Collect and Connect!

Our interactive cards provide an engaging way to discover our collection. While visiting select a few cards and locate them in our galleries. You can also take these cards home with you and curate your own mini art collection.

Think Like An Artist

Grab one of our Think Like an Artist view finders and use it throughout the museum as you explore our galleries.

Read and Create

Grab a “ Read and Create” box in our Education gallery.

We encourage visitors to read the book then create the artwork inspired by the book. All completed activities are yours to keep. We do ask that you return all books and supplies back into its desired location.

Sensory Objects

Sensory objects are available for visitors to use throughout our galleries. We ask that these items be treated with care so they can be enjoyed by everyone. Please do not throw, damage, or leave them in the galleries. After use, kindly return them to their designated storage area.

Art Bingo and Scavenger Hunt

We encourage visitors to play our Art bingo and or scavenger hunt games throughout the galleries. Completed bingo cards are yours to keep. We ask that you return Scavenger Hunts to their designated location.
