One of the things we’re looking forward to here at WMA is our 35th Annivesary of Youth Art Month!
During the month of March, we turn our Main Gallery into a yearly celebration of student artwork.
To celebrate our 35th Anniversary, we’ve planned some special happenings that include weekend art classes for kids, as well as a Spoken Word Night where students can share their poetry, prose, and other spoken word, so keep an eye on our calendar so you and your kids can come join us and partake!

Remember, it’s open to students from PreK – 12th grade, from public, private, and home schools in the region, and emphasizes the value of art and art education for all children and youth.
Selected pieces will be on display for the entire month of March, plus Winners in each grade range will be announced at the opening reception. They receive $50 and will have their artwork on display for a full year at YAM sponsored locations or WMA.
Submissions are NOW open!
You may drop off your students’ artwork during our normal operating hours, Wednesday-Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM. Monday and Tuesday are available for drop off by appointment only. Just contact the museum if this is a better option for you.
