Delicately crafted by Guadalupe Robinson, each piece speaks to the artist’s rich cultural heritage and history. This exhibition includes many of her ceramic pots and highlights the artist’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. The delicate works are created from stoneware clays, wheel­-thrown, and intricately designed and drawn by hand.

Originally from Mexico City, Robinson moved to Alabama over thirty years ago. Her work is a constant marriage of her Mexican roots and her current home in the South. The two cultures are merged through her traditional techniques and style while incorporating patterns and textures that some say are a nod to the Southern tradition of quilt making. She now works in both mediums, constantly experimenting with new methods and ideas.
