With over 80 happenings each year, WMA always has something fresh, fun, and unique to do!
In 2023, WMA’s special events calendar will feature Art in Bloom, an early February event celebrating creativity in floral design to complement works on view from the museum’s Permanent Collection in celebration of its 35th anniversary year. One Night Only, the museum’s annual themed member party culminates a membership drive in May with a not-to-be-missed, members-only event, and Yard Party for Art, a one night art, music, and tech festival held on the museum’s lawn in August.

Regularly occurring events include Art After Hours, a monthly Third Thursday event offering extended evening hours, with open galleries and quarterly openings for new exhibitions. Live music, artmaking stations, a cash bar, and a come-as-you-are approach makes this event a welcoming and lively way to enjoy the museum. Another way to connect with the community is at Write Night, a quarterly open-mic night event for writers, spoken word artists, and creatives, with an open platform to share original poetry, prose, skits, and more within the museum’s galleries. And, don’t miss First Saturday Family Day, a come-and-go free artmaking workshop held each first Saturday of the month in the museum’s Studio!
Exploring art and making a mess at the same time is SUPER fun!
