In an effort to provide diverse storytelling at the museum, WMA encourages submissions for exhibitions, programs, and special projects from guest curators. Exhibitions may include solo exhibitions or thematic group shows, site-specific installations, public art projects, and performances. Curators from any location, and any stage of their career will be considered.
Exhibitions are typically scheduled 18-24 months out, although some exceptions may apply.. A confirmation notification will be sent when all proposal materials are received. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Due to the anticipation of a large number of submissions, the museum will only notify you if they are able to pursue your project. Museum staff may require additional information during the review process, and will reach out for clarifications and next steps.
