$85 for members, $95 for not-yet members.
Olivia Hill is an emerging fiber artist in the Southeast and will introduce participants to the art of punch needle embroidery, or ‘punch hooking’. Students will receive a supply kit with a unique, hand-crafted needle and a variety of yarns and embroidery threads to weave imagery into embroidery cloth. All supplies are covered in the cost of the class, and participants can take their tools home.
This program is part of WMA’s ongoing Visiting Artist Series, which will focus on themes and inspirations from the museum’s collections-based exhibitions throughout 2021.
Due to the rise in COVID-19 infection in the region, WMA is requiring masks for all visitors inside the museum. By registering for this class, you agree to abide by this requirement for the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers.
Since this workshop spans a mealtime, participants are welcome to bring a meal, drink, and snacks. WMA’s garden has a patio space and benches to enjoy an outside break.
Registration for this class is now closed. To inquire about availability, please call the museum at (334)794-3871.
